Grading System

GRADING POLICY
9th Grade World History and Geography
50% Test- All Chapter Test, Movie Test, and Pop Test
10% Quizzes- Section quizzes are given per section and averaged for a single grade per chapter
20% Vocabulary- Key Terms (definitions), Vocabulary Quiz or Activities
20% Notebook- This is a single grade created throughout the entire 9 weeks. Students must keep up with assignments in their notebook (3 ring binder). These assignments almost exclusively are the Guided Reading Activities for each section of the chapters we cover. Some are copied by hand and some are handouts.
MAKE UP WORK
Test and general assignments missed by the student are normally made up the day of their return. If a student misses a vocabulary activity, or a section quiz then the assignment is not counted for a grade. Late work such as key terms are the responsibility of the student to show me there work to receive the proper grade. Once an assignment has been checked or graded in class I will not look for the student's work.
